Atropine sulphate is used for eye examination.

Hyoscyamine is used to combat the toxic effects of organophosphates.

It has also been reported that these alkaloids possess uterine stimulant and abortifacient activities.

The leaf paste and decoction is used in organic rheumatic joint pains.
